Hotel Travelodge Phuket Town

We stayed five nights and would come back if we visited central Phuket. The staff were kind and friendly, and reception was professional and helpful. With a late return flight, they held our bags and gave us towels so we could shower and change before going to the airport. The pool area was clean and relaxed, and the gym had what we needed for a short or medium stay. Our room was clean and well equipped. There’s free shuttle service to Central Phuket shopping mall and back, and the hotel is near old town, chilva, and naka markets, which was handy for night markets. Laundry service is literally around the corner. Breakfast was good, though fresh fruit and more variety would have been nice. There are no balconies, which didn’t bother us, but could matter if you’re coming from the beach and want somewhere outside to dry clothes. Thanks to the team for making us feel welcome.

The nearest restaurants on foot are in Central Phuket mall, and most attractions are too far to walk to, so it’s best to plan your trips. My three nights here were peaceful, with no rowdy or noisy guests at night. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the bed was spacious, and the bathroom had hot water. The fridge, hairdryer, and other amenities all worked. Staffs at Travelodge were friendly and helpful. I’d recommend it for a short getaway.

We had a good four-day stay, and the pool was nice, though at 1.3m deep you can’t dive. The rooms were quite good, and there’s a 7/11 and laundry near the hotel. If you want to try Marijuana, it’s available infront of 7/11. Location-wise, it’s a little far from the beach and Old Town, but the weekend night market we like is close, about a seven-minute drive to Naka weekend night market. Phuket Aquarium is nearby too if you’re spending time with family. Remember to press the housekeeping button, or you won’t get the free water bottles and coffees. The restaurant won’t warm up food from 7/11.

This felt like an average 3 star hotel, about 3.5/5 for me. Nobody picks up your luggage or takes it to your room, and there’s no welcome of any kind. The rooms are old and average; the shower was leaking, but they fixed it. Housekeeping seemed lazy and didn’t change the sheets often, just setting up the same ones and leaving. The gym is small but functional.
