Laila Pool Village

We were a group of 14, and the owners and staff did a lot to make our stay work for everyone. They were friendly, accommodating, and tried their best to handle our requests. The rooms were comfortable, each with its own bathroom, and were cleaned every day. The air conditioning worked really well. We arranged and paid for a big dinner for the group one evening. There was loads of delicious food, and the staff took care of all the arrangements, which made for a great night in. Getting around does mean taking cabs, since there isn’t much to do close to the hotel. The nearest public beach access is about a 45-minute walk, so we took a cab back.

The place was clean, and the owner was very nice. They also served a simple breakfast.

It felt very private, and there’s a BBQ spot for groups. The resort has a pool in the center. There are around 8-9 rooms, though only 7 were open during my stay. I had a quick look at some rooms and they seemed a little old, but not too bad. Breakfast wasn’t provided when I visited, so bring your own.

My room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were helpful. The TV only had one channel while I was there, but they tried to find a digital box they could install for me. The pool could have been cleaner, there was quite a bit of sand on the bottom.
