It can be hard to find at night: there’s no clear sign, and the entrance faces the side, so look for the Green Building. The corridor feels darker than a typical hotel, though the sensor lights switch on as you approach and save electricity. Water from the tap smells strongly of rust, and the smell lingers on your skin after washing your hands or gargling. The shower soap smells bad, and the TV has no signal or shows. Parking is outdoors on concrete and sand. There is a hose at the back if you need one, and a 7-Eleven about 350m away.

The room was very clean and air conditioned, with a big fridge. It’s basic for the price, equivalent to RM129/night. The location is good, though being right on a busy main road keeps it from being great. Parking is through the building, and there’s no elevator. The bed is quite hard, so you’ll like it if that’s your preference.

The innkeeper couple are lovely, and there’s enough secure parking for bikes and cars. The beds are top, the shower’s great, and the AC is 🥶. A great place for the night.
