Hotel Ezzahra Dar Tunis

The hotel was very dirty, and security on the beach side was practically nonexistent. The manager seemed incompetent. Simply avoid this place.

I spent a week here for work nearby, and the price didn't feel like good value. I had to ask basic questions at check-in, like where the elevators and dining room were and when breakfast or dinner was served. Breakfast was poor, and the tablecloths weren't changed from one day to the next. I wouldn't choose this for a vacation.

The food could use improvement, though that was less of a concern than the lack of heat and internet. The room needed repairs, and there was no air conditioning or heating. They said the room internet was available, but it mostly didn't work, so it may as well have been absent. I asked several times for the problems to be fixed. Each time they said they would, but nothing changed. Nights were a little cold in that season, and they didn't seem to care. There's a sign on the hotel wall claiming four stars, but to me that was a big lie. This place doesn't even deserve two stars. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Our flight was delayed by 24 hours, so Tunisair booked a single room at hotel Ezzahra tunis for my wife and our 9-month-old child. I wanted to join them and offered to pay for an upgrade to a double room. The receptionist, lamine, was rude. The upgrade cost 101.6 DT, and I handed him 120 DT. Since he had no change, he said I could wait until after dinner for the 18.4 DT back, or he wouldn't upgrade us and I'd have to find another hotel. We were already exhausted from the flight, and traveling with a 9-month-old made it worse. He also refused when I asked if I could pay at checkout, which didn't seem normal, and ignored my request to speak with his manager. Thanks to lamine, the stay and the whole experience were ruined. I hope management addresses the way their staff treat guests.
