Appart Hotel Arabesque Hammamet

A great hotel.

A woman named Maryam works for them at the agency. I swear I went to the residence and spoke with her, and she told me to close it. I came all the way from Gafsa to Hammamet, a five-hour drive, with my wife, and they left us stranded in the street. May God punish them. Don't deal with them, since they work with an agency where a girl named Maryam works. She heard me and yelled at me over the phone.

A tile came loose from the bathroom wall when I arrived. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but it could have been dangerous. The balcony light didn't work either, and its bracket was poorly fastened with exposed wires, which was a real safety risk. The air conditioning was extremely noisy, didn't cool the room, and kept turning itself off. We had no hot water, towels, toilet paper, soap, or dishes. I asked reception several times for even a saucepan or an iron, but nothing was provided during our stay. I reported all of this at reception on checkout day, and the conversation went very badly. Mounira, the receptionist, was rude and mocking, repeated my words disrespectfully, and lied to us several times. Her completely unprofessional behavior made our impression of the stay even worse. I know unexpected problems can happen, but the lack of response and the disrespect were really regrettable. It was awful in every way, and I wouldn't repeat the experience. PS: I only gave one star so I could post my review.

The place is quiet and pleasant if you can get past how old it is. Rooms are spacious, and the staff are friendly, but it badly needs renovation.
