Medina Diar Lemdina Resort and Spa

The apartments and suites were the most spacious accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. The hotel’s different areas are beautifully designed, drawing inspiration from places around the world, and the market is a nice bonus. Prices are reasonable, though it’s still worth haggling. There’s lots of choice, and the shop owners are friendly without hassling you. My friends and I were surprised by how good the value felt. The staff are the hotel’s best asset, especially the bar and entertainment teams. So many of them were smiling, genuinely friendly, full of energy, and always willing to help. There were activities all day for different ages and abilities. The buffet food was high quality with plenty of variety, though I found it odd that the main restaurant is small and up three flights of stairs when the hotel has so much space. Dining at the sister hotels is limited and fills up fast, so book when you arrive. We liked the Mediterranean restaurant best. The Poolhouse, the third outdoor pool, wasn’t open during our stay. We enjoyed the other two pools and the private beach area down the road, with more comfortable loungers, clear water views, and all-inclusive food and drinks. It was much more peaceful there. Some parts of the hotel are looking tired and could use TLC over the next few years to get back to a high standard. The museums are well worth a visit if you want a break from the sun. The guides were exceptional, and it was lovely to learn about Tunisia’s history. I’d recommend the hotel and would come back.

The entertainment team brought energy, positivity, and fun every day, and Mimi deserves a special mention. She was kind, funny, and talented. During activities and evening entertainment, she taught my family and me some great dance moves and helped everyone feel included, whatever their skill level. Diar Lemdina was a wonderful experience for me and my family from beginning to end. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and full of atmosphere, with friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Food, entertainment, and service were excellent, and there was always something for adults and kids to enjoy. We made lovely memories and would recommend it for a fun, relaxing family holiday in Tunisia. We can’t wait to come back.

The community and nice staff were probably the best part. There’s always something to do, even late at night, like karaoke. The marketplace isn’t crowded, and although the side to the left of reception looks incredibly disappointing when you enter, the place is quite nice. You do miss how big it is on the other side, near the indoor pool. Staff deserve a lot of credit for speaking so many languages. At the start, three stars felt a little generous. Room service didn’t have much to offer, there were electricity problems, the fridge was empty, and the beds were itchy. Later in the stay, I appreciated the amazing view and great environment. February was a bit windy, but the temperature was perfect. The main food was varied and filling, though dessert was quite boring.

The animation team made a great atmosphere every day. All the entertainers were kind and energetic, and kept things fun without being pushy. You could tell they enjoyed their work. The facilities were clean and well maintained, the food had good variety and tasted nice, and staff were always friendly and helpful. We felt comfortable and had a wonderful stay. We’d definitely return.
