A big part of my positive experience was the staff. Everyone was friendly, and the service felt personal. A receptionist carried my bag, and the waiters were attentive at breakfast. The cleaners did a superb job every day, and I trusted them completely. Even when things went missing, I never suspected them. The room had a few awkward details: the toilet roll holder was vertical, the shower space was tight, and its tap was on the side of the bath. Nobody showed me how to use the AC and heating unit. I also wasn't told about the rooftop pool or beach area, so ask about the amenities when you check in. Reception staff were nice but didn't know much about public transport. The bar was a pleasant place for a drink, with strong Tunisian beer and excellent pizza. Wi-Fi was fast and free throughout the property. Keep in mind that card payments have a 20 Dinar minimum. A grumpy barman enforced it, so bring cash for smaller purchases. Transport options exist but can be awkward to figure out. I recommend checking Rome2Rio or an AI assistant to plan, and using inDrive for local taxis, which is much cheaper than Uber. Hotel Residence Hammamet offered great value and a central location. I'd recommend it for a budget-friendly, traditional stay if you're prepared for a few room quirks and plan your transport ahead.

The people were kind and ready to help, and the hotel was incredibly clean. It was cleaner than four- or five-star hotels in Hammamet. A great place to stay for a few days, highly recommended.

Everyone, from the receptionist and bartenders to the beach staff and cleaning lady, was so friendly, kind, and helpful. Thanks to the owner and team for making us feel at home. The hotel's three-star rating doesn't do it justice. We stayed seven nights, and our room was cleaned fully each day, with fresh sheets and towels. Breakfast was great, and the pool area was spotless. The garden looked lovely too. The hotel-owned beach was amazing, with a nice beach bar that served food. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious. We loved our stay at Residence Mahmoud ❤️.

We were moved to this hotel, and the reception staff were friendly. They quickly changed our room to a better one. The food was tasty and good quality, but it was the same every day, including breakfast. Breakfast was very basic, with nothing cooked, and they don't serve tea, so bring your own. The location is very noisy, with heavy traffic on the main road. A cockerel started waking us at 4 am and kept making noise until 5 pm. The hotel seems suited to many French guests or business travellers. It's far from the beach and 2.4 km from the old Medina. Getting a taxi was a real challenge.

The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious, and we felt comfortable leaving our car there because it was under security. The reception team and parking attendant were kind and patient with us, even though we were rather demanding guests. Thanks for a wonderful holiday. Mary and Youcef will come back in the summer! 🤗
