Sentido Phenicia

We're on our second visit in less than a year and coming back again in 12 weeks. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with great food and drinks, but the staff are what make it so amazing, from the cleaners through to management. The entertainment team work tirelessly long hours to keep everyone entertained and make each guest feel special. Big shout out to Alex, who always takes time for a chat. Such a nice young man.

There were bars across the property, so with the all-inclusive package we could easily get a drink whenever we wanted. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner all had lots of choices for everyone. The bar staff were welcoming and attentive, often bringing drinks to our table, and the restaurant team worked smoothly and quickly. A couple of days were a bit cooler, but that's typical for the season. We had a fantastic stay, the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we'd definitely consider coming back.

The hotel was a nice place to stay, though outside there wasn't much to see unless you took a trip or taxi somewhere more interesting. The rooms, especially the toilet, need a general clean and refresh. The staff were friendly, the food was fresh with local specials made each day, the pool was warmed, and the beach was close by. Beyram was a great waiter at lunch and dinner. We took a pirate ship trip, which was loud but enjoyable, and went horse riding at the hotel. We also took a taxi to the shops. Be careful if the driver recommends the Medina, the local shops and market. Sellers don't display prices, and seem to set them based on how you look, which hotel you're from by your wristband, and where you're from generally. You can negotiate, but it's still expensive. We preferred the regular grocery store, where food and souvenirs had visible prices. Tips are expected everywhere. We had a nice time at Sentido Phenicia Hotel.

We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday, with excellent food and great service. The grounds were lovely, especially the big main pool and beach, and there were always plenty of sunbeds. The cushions were a nice extra, and the attendants who brought them over were very attentive. The food was some of the best I've had at an all-inclusive, and the live cooking stations were great, with friendly, skilled chefs. The staff were lovely in general, especially the man serving Table 120 on the evenings of 8-15 May, whose name I unfortunately forgot, and Onsi. Guests who tipped generously often got better service, particularly by the pool, though that wasn't too surprising. The rooms were a little dated but very clean. WiFi was patchy, but we expected that and it wasn't a problem. The crazy train was a great laugh and a fun way to get around Yasmine Hammamet, definitely worth trying. One small frustration was the paper cups at the pool and beach, which weren't sturdy. I understand the environmental reason, but reusable plastic cups like those at most all-inclusives I've visited would have been much more practical. It was also disappointing that hotel visitors weren't allowed. Nobody had told us, so it was an unwelcome surprise when a friend staying at a nearby resort was turned away at the gate. There was no option to buy a day pass, even though we understood those were supposed to be available. I'd definitely come back.
