The Russelior Hotel & Spa

Over the last 10 years, this hotel has become a second home to me. The staff are professional and warm, always greeting me with a smile, and many remember my name. That personal touch makes every visit feel special. I’ve seen the hotel grow and improve its facilities, while keeping its charm. The rooms are consistently clean and comfortable, and whether I’m staying briefly or for longer, I can count on the same service, comfort and hospitality. I have so many good memories here and wouldn’t choose anywhere else when I visit. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants a place that really looks after its guests.

The russelior hotel and spa is beautiful, with lovely pools and gardens. Service was great, especially from Marwa and Baha. The breakfast buffet was good, with particularly nice omelettes and crepes. The only downside was that there were no water bottles in the rooms, which was a bit difficult with young kids. Recommend it for a quiet, relaxing stay without loud entertainment.

The kindness of most of the staff and the hotel’s atmosphere made my stay enjoyable. The grounds were well maintained, the hotel spotless, and the background music set a nice mood. The buffet had lots of tasty options, and the location near the beach was excellent. A few things could be improved. Serving spoons were often missing, so one spoon got used for several dishes, and food labels were frequently absent. We had to ask for salt and pepper or take them from other tables at nearly every meal. Towels were sometimes taken even when we hadn’t left them on the floor, then weren’t replaced right away. More than once we came back from the pool with no towels, though reception always sent some afterward. Once, a manager spoke to me rather arrogantly about bringing a water bottle into the restaurant, which felt unnecessary. With a few simple fixes, the experience could be even better.

The hammam was one of the biggest disappointments. We were promised a luxurious experience with a massage, but that never happened. It felt more like a basic steam room visit than a proper spa treatment. There was also very little entertainment for a resort claiming this level. The photos online made the hotel look bigger and more luxurious than it was. The actual spaces felt cramped and dark, and the breakfast was poor, with few options for a high-end hotel. Most menus and information were only in French, so the lack of English made things harder than expected. On arrival, the receptionist said she’d be with us shortly, but we waited far too long while people who arrived after us checked in first. The room was underwhelming too: the TV didn’t work, and nobody came to fix it after we called room service. Tea and other room service requests arrived 35 minutes late. This was nowhere near the relaxing, high-end stay we expected from a supposed 5-star hotel. They need to rethink the service, amenities and advertising if they want to keep that rating.
