Hannibal Palace Hotel

Dinner only runs from 7 to 9 PM, which feels too short, especially when it’s crowded. The food was average, nothing terrible but nothing special. The bed’s springs were uncomfortable and made it hard to sleep. Housekeeping needs work too. The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, and they’d leave soap and shampoo but sometimes not change the towels. After cleaning, the room still wasn’t put in order and the bed wasn’t made. The hotel has potential, but it needs better maintenance and cleaning standards.

Salah in the restaurant really made the meals feel welcoming. He always greeted us warmly and said goodbye, and it seemed like all the guests knew him. The rest of the staff were friendly throughout our stay too. The buffet had lots of options, though the food was often cold, which was disappointing. Hannibal Palace is a pretty hotel, with comfortable rooms and both indoor and outdoor pools. We especially liked having a private beach by the sea. There’s free WiFi downstairs, and the security staff on site helped us feel safe and looked after. We had a lovely time, and warmer food would make the stay even better.

The location is excellent, and dinner had tasty food with plenty of variety. But water at dinner isn’t free, and the hotel’s exchange rates are below the real rates. The bedrooms feel dated and could be cleaner. The air conditioning in the rooms also wasn’t as it should be.

As a solo traveler, I really enjoyed the fairly quiet beach, while most people seemed to stay by the pool. I’d put it at around 3.5 out of 5 overall. A decent choice if you’re after a budget holiday.
