Aparthotel Zitouna

A decent apartment, and the people were friendly.

Quiet, pleasant building, with good hospitality.

The apartment was filthy and appalling, and the owner would only take cash, which was outrageous. We were meant to stay three nights. After we spoke with management, we were told to cancel and get a refund for two nights, but the owner gave us the runaround and never came to see us. The photos below speak for themselves. Avoid at all costs.

The location was good, close to the center, and the staff were friendly. Even so, I wouldn't recommend the place or return. I was there for a short stay, and the arrival was alarming: the apartment complex is inside a small shopping center with lots of shops, and there is some kind of building with medical offices inside it. Nothing about this was explained when I booked. When I arrived, I couldn't find a reception desk or anyone from the complex to welcome or guide me. I thought I'd been taken for a ride, and nobody in the shopping center had heard of the supposed "Zitouna apartment complex." I was very scared and had to call the number on my reservation twice before someone from the apartment finally arrived a while later. The woman who helped me was friendly throughout. The apartment itself didn't improve the experience much. I had no privacy at all because one room was used for the cleaning ladies' storage. If they needed something, they came in, knocking early in the morning. The refrigerator froze things instead of cooling them. There was no stove, despite it being listed, just two burners plugged into an outlet, and one didn't work. The plates and cutlery were acceptable. There were flies and mosquitoes in the bedroom and dining room.
