Business Hotel

The central spot in Tunis, in Montplaisir, is handy for business travelers and anyone without a car. It’s close to Avenue Habib Bourguiba and the metro. The rooms are clean, air-conditioned, and soundproof, but on the small side. The restaurant and shared areas are compact too, with the space used efficiently. The big downside is the nightclub noise at night. It’s very disturbing, so this isn’t a good pick if you want peace and quiet or larger rooms.

The food is marvelous, and the staff are amazing, respectful, helpful, always smiling. Customer service was perfect. I felt at home as soon as I checked in. I’d give it 7 stars. Love it.

Mohammed, the other receptionist, was a legend: friendly, professional, and so kind. He handled my complaints with real grace and gave us a large room upgrade. If not for his approach, I would’ve asked for a refund. He deserves to be manager. The breakfast was very good, and the artwork was lovely. Even with the upgrade, though, we still couldn’t sleep until late because the club music kept reverberating all night. On arrival, the female receptionist was rude. She asked us to sit while she checked our passports, but apparently expected us to wait there for two hours until the room was ready. She didn’t tell us or show us a place to leave our bags. The WC had ants because the bin was dirty, and there was ash in the WC glass. The furniture leaned sideways and looked nothing like the photos. No receptionist was available when we checked out, so we had to leave and call a taxi from the street. The area felt dodgy and very dirty, and quite far from anything.

The room is a little small, but the bed is really comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean, and the reception staff are welcoming and always smiling. Breakfast has plenty of variety, though it’s the same every morning. Live music in the sixth-floor lounge is quite loud and goes on late, which can be disturbing. I highly recommend the hotel.
