Breakfast was the only issue still left by the end of my stay. There were no labels, so it was hard to tell which cheeses were goat or cow and whether meats were pork, beef, or chicken. Simple labels would help guests with dietary preferences. My stay at Hotel Royal Asru had a rough start, but the way the staff responded to my concerns impressed me. The Deluxe Room had no kettle or tea and coffee supplies, the bedside sockets didn’t work, and I found the staff a little unfriendly at first. After I spoke to management, they moved me to a better room where everything worked and quickly brought a kettle, tea, and coffee. They also sent a complimentary fruit basket as an apology. I came to see that the staff were helpful and friendly, and the initial interaction may have been a misunderstanding. They seem to care about guest satisfaction. Hotel Royal Asru handled the problems very well, and I’d stay again for the hospitality.

The staff were professional, and I found the hotel comfortable and elegant enough for a business trip. It also works well for leisure, since it’s only a short walk from the city center. The décor feels distinctive and calm, with a chic, luxurious atmosphere that made it easy to relax.

Breakfast offered enough options, but the food itself was poor. Our room also wasn't in good condition, despite the receptionist saying we'd get a very nice one. With a street-facing room, the noise comes through because the sound insulation isn't sufficient. Room service knocked at 8:15 in the morning. There are better choices in the area.

The restaurant staff were great, and the lady chef working across breakfast and lunch was the bright spot. The rest was a mixed bag: I was charged the 12 TND daily tax twice, the safe was broken, and the shower control was missing the pin used to switch from the hand shower to the ceiling one. My room had a poor view and no bug screen, so mosquitoes had a field day. The coffee was bad, and the amenities were sparse: one soap disc, two shower gels, two shampoo bottles, no conditioner, and just one hand towel and one shower towel. The airport car was greatly overpriced. Thank you to the chef, madam.

Sarah and Serine deserve a special thank you for being so kind and professional. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout, and the atmosphere was just right. Every detail went beyond what I expected, making the stay memorable. I’m grateful for the hospitality and already look forward to coming back.
