La Chambre Bleue

Breakfast was all homemade, fresh, and delicious, and the shower turned out to be the best one we had during our two weeks away, despite looking basic at first. We stayed in a gorgeous dar run by a lovely family. Our room was breathtaking, with old tiles and colorful carpets. Right in the heart of the medina, the place was quiet and peaceful. Thanks for such a brilliant stay.

I wish we’d had more time to enjoy morning coffee with Marouane in the peaceful patio. The homemade breakfast, clearly made with care, was the highlight of our stay. This beautifully restored old dar is now a charming boutique hotel in the heart of the Medina. Our room was authentic and spotless, and the shared spaces were stunning. A tranquil, unique place right in the old Medina’s center, and one I’d wholeheartedly recommend.

The owner and staff were so lovely, and it was a pleasure meeting and talking with everyone. I’ve never had a better breakfast in Tunisia. Staying here felt like sleeping in a palace or museum, in a joyful, gorgeous home filled with color and beautiful things to look at. If you can get a booking, definitely stay.

Breakfast was the best part of our stay. Each morning brought eggs prepared a different way, homemade breads and baked treats, jams, fresh juice, and coffee. Marouane and his wife were welcoming and helpful, too. The place is tucked away, but Marouane’s directions made it easy to find. Our room was huge and stunning, and though the bathroom was small, it had charm.
