Tonga Holiday Villa

Paea, Saffron and her family are wonderful, and the hospitality is second to none. We loved our stay in the villa and will definitely book again when we return to Tonga. It’s within reach of town, restaurants, the market,the sea, the ferries, and Ancient Tonga is an easy walk away.

I arrived on an early morning flight at 1am, and they arranged an airport transfer to the accommodation. The owners are kind and hospitable. I strongly recommend booking directly with them and staying here.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable five nights at Tonga Holiday Villa. Saffron is friendly, well connected on the island, and went out of her way several times to make my stay memorable. She sorted out bike rental, taxis, restaurant suggestions, tours, and the best whale swim experience ever. She has it covered.

I spent about two weeks at Tonga Holiday Villa, and the helpful people there made it easy to settle in. Need information, laundry, or a ride? They have options and do their best to help. The house is well maintained, which is rare on Tonga. Everything was in good shape and worked as it should, including the bathroom, lights, furniture, kitchen, appliances, and doors. Rooms were clean, and the shared living room had plenty of space for guests, with cozy, soft couches that were great for relaxing in the evening. The villa is peaceful and quiet, with almost no traffic or people nearby beyond staff and other guests. It’s about a three-minute walk to the coastline and ten minutes to town. You can rent a scooter or ask the staff for a car ride if you’d rather not walk. It’s also really inexpensive for what you get. I doubt you’ll find a place this good on Tonga for even twice the price. I highly recommend it whether you’re visiting Tongatapu for a short or long stay, alone or with family, for a holiday or for business.
