Edis Premier Hotel

The bathroom looked like a disaster, and the air conditioning didn’t always work. I was also told I couldn’t have a guest in my single room without paying, even though I only wanted them to visit for half an hour, not stay overnight. I wasn’t happy with this hotel at all.

The hotel is a bit far from the city centre, though there’s a local train station nearby and a few shops for small things like cigarettes and cold drinks. The rooms are big and clean, hot water was always available, and they had all the necessary amenities. Staff were polite and helpful, and service was fast. It’s great value for money, but breakfast disappointed me a little, so I’d have given five stars otherwise.

I stayed there twice, and the rooms were dirty. I found two empty bottles behind the curtain and told the staff, but nobody came to remove them. The phone and room service menu were filthy too. Most doors didn’t lock securely, and there was black mold in the bathrooms. I broke my laptop adaptor plug because the outlet already had a pin stuck in it. They refused to fix it and said my plug would be ready late afternoon, even though they knew I was leaving at 9 am. Breakfast was a big disappointment. The food wasn’t refrigerated and tasted rancid. They served hot tea in paper cups that bent from the heat, and staff swept the table while I was still eating. There was some room noise, but it was manageable. The staff were rude and untrained in hospitality. I won’t come back, and I’d think twice before staying here.

It was easy to get to, and there were plenty of small markets nearby for last-minute things.
