Hosta Otel

We had a great night here on the way to Antalya. The rooms were spacious and even felt luxurious for such a low price. Parking is 200m away, and the hotel is on a busy street with lots of stores and a gas station nearby. A simple breakfast was included in the price, though it wasn’t a buffet.

My room was canceled on the evening I was due to arrive because I wouldn’t get there until after midnight. They chose to play it safe and sell it to someone else. I understand the desire to maximize profits, but it was a disaster for hospitality. It seems you need to arrive before 5 p.m. or risk having your booked room given away, unless you pay for it in advance.

For the price, this is a nice place, and I think that’s the right way to judge it. The room was large, with two big beds, but the bathroom was rather small and the fridge was tiny. We could barely fit anything in it. The hotel is on a very busy road, and its parking lot is 50m farther along. If you have luggage, unload it at the entrance first, then park. The route from the lot to the hotel is below standard. The reception guys were helpful, though it’d be nice if they smiled now and then. It costs nothing.

I wouldn’t stay here again. The hotel is old and needs renovation, and the staff need more training because they weren’t pleasant at all. There’s no kettle in the room. The carpet was very dirty, and the room smelled of cigarettes. There was a blackout, but nobody bothered to tell us anything. The shower cabin is so small you can barely fit in it. Breakfast was OK, and the location was OK too.
