Totelya Hotel (Adults Only)

The garden breakfast was our highlight, with excellent ingredients sourced locally. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made sure we had a great stay. It's a lovely little hotel with simple, comfortable rooms. We'd definitely choose Totelya again when we're back in Akyaka.

The building is a traditional Akyaka house, with hand-carved wooden details typical of the area's architecture over generations. I also really liked sitting in the garden courtyard for breakfast, with the birds chirping. There was plenty to choose from: Turkish cheeses, tomatoes and cucumber, olives, seasonal homemade jams, gozleme, eggs, zucchini patties and more, all presented nicely. The breakfast was excellent and traditional, and the rooms were very, very clean, which matters a lot to me. Totelya checked all my accommodation boxes with its location, fair price and thoughtful, kind staff who were always smiling. Manager Bahadir went out of his way to welcome us to Akyaka and make our weekend stay excellent. His English was great and useful for my boyfriend, who doesn't speak Turkish. We had a very pleasant stay, and I definitely recommend this lovely little hotel.

We had some good breakfasts during our three-week trip, but this was the best, with homemade food served by the owner himself. He was warm, spoke excellent English and made us feel very welcome. The room was good, with a flower-covered balcony. We'll return.

The staff treated us wonderfully, and the manager, Mr. Bahadır, and his team shared tips and stories about the town. They appreciate and protect the local culture, which made us happy. With exceptionally clean rooms, a superb breakfast made from local ingredients and a great price for the quality, Totelya is a place I'd recommend to anyone visiting Akyaka or Southern Turkey. We'll definitely return.
