Meteor Beach Hotel

We went to Meteor Beach for 1 day, not the hotel, and had a very good time. The sea was beautiful, facilities reasonable, and the staff were spot on with their service and attitude. It was off season, so prices were really good: 50 try entry, 25 try for a beer and 10 try for large tea. Lounges were included in the same entry fee then. We did notice a couple of safety concerns, such as drop offs that look like the start of stairs and could cause a fall, plus some broken steps from the pier down to the sea. Those were details, though, and we enjoyed the day very much.

We paid 300tl each to enter the pier, but when we arrived to sit down, they told us everything was reserved and there was no room. We'd called a couple of times beforehand and were told they weren't taking reservations, and that arriving before 12 would be enough. The staff were unhelpful and gave us bad lies instead of sorting it out. We wasted time, money and energy dealing with this. I strongly recommend staying away, hospitality doesn't seem to be part of their vocabulary.

A great private beach resort, and you can use the beach facilities even if you aren't staying at the hotel. A sun lounger costs 100 lira, which isn't cheap, but it's worth it if you're after a quieter spot away from the noisy, touristy beaches. Highly recommended.

The sea is rocky, so getting into the water is difficult. There are too many people for such a small beach, and the restaurant is full all the time. The toilets are terrible. You also have to keep topping up your beach card to cover bills, and you can't bring your own water, food or drinks, you have to buy them there. I didn't like the place at all.
