Ozkaymak Select Hotel

I would give this 2.5 stars, not five, and I do NOT recommend it. We arrived expecting two separate rooms, but got one cold family room that wasn't actually that big. The next day they tried to keep us there for another night. I didn't agree, and fortunately we were given two rooms later. The hotel and beach were both overcrowded. People put towels on the shaded sunbeds as early as 6:00 AM, and by 7:00 AM only a few partly shaded spots remained. At 10:00 AM there was nothing. Lots of beds were being held by people who weren't there, just a mess. People from the nearby hotel also came to dinner, making the restaurant even more crowded. There weren't enough dishes, spoons, or forks. Five stars? No way. There were long queues for food and the elevator, and one of the three elevators wasn't working at all. You really felt that with small kids, otherwise I would've taken the stairs to the sixth floor. The food was repetitive and not five-star quality. Around 15 minutes before lunch or dinner ended, they started clearing things away and taking food. Many people smoked at breakfast on the outdoor terrace and on the beach. The hotel and breakfast manager told me smoking outside wasn't forbidden. That it was... There was no child potty at the hotel. After three days of promises that they'd bring one, I gave up. The drinks at the buffet tasted different each time, even when I asked for the same thing. It seemed to depend on the barman.

RUN!!!! Don't ruin your vacation. I rarely write reviews, but this stay at Ozkaymak Select Resort Hotel in Alanya was so far below expectations that I need to warn people. It was the most disappointing hotel experience I've had. The beach was frustrating. Unless you got up around 6 am to claim a sunbed, you had no chance. There was no room allocation or system for the beds, and no organization. We also had to deal with Wi-Fi that disconnected constantly, and a period without air conditioning, electricity, or running water. For a hotel advertising itself as five stars, that's completely unacceptable. The reception felt cold and unwelcoming. The young woman at the front desk was visibly unfriendly, and communication was almost impossible because most staff had poor English. There was little hospitality or care. The atmosphere wasn't relaxing either. Many guests were loud, disrespectful, and had no basic manners, which made it harder to enjoy anything. Meals were a major problem. Guests rushed the buffet as if it were a survival race because there wasn't enough food. Breakfast was meant to last until 10 am, but even by 9 most of it was gone. The quality was extremely low. Nothing tasted fresh, everything seemed frozen or prepackaged, and the eggs were barely cooked. The woman at the egg station didn't seem to care. There was little variety and no Turkish cuisine to discover, just bland industrial food. At the pancake station, the cook used only half of a huge grill despite the long line. It felt like they were deliberately working slowly and inefficiently, maybe to limit how much people ate. The beach snack bar was worse. I didn't find a single thing there that was remotely good. It was all dry, flavorless, or poorly prepared. The staff were very unpleasant, nearly rude, which made it even more frustrating. Ice cream was available only once a day at a specific time. You had to queue in the sun with dozens of people, and by the time you got to the front they might say it was gone. No solution, no refill. At a decent all-inclusive, ice cream should just be available without the hassle. Even finding somewhere to eat was hard. The dining area and lobby were far too small for the number of guests. When slightly different food was offered outside, we waited more than 20 minutes for a small portion. Every meal felt like a chore. Desserts were repetitive, too sweet, and generally unpleasant. Room cleaning was badly handled too. When toiletries ran out, they weren't replaced. Towels left on the floor to be changed were taken, but no fresh ones were brought. It felt sloppy and disorganized, as if nobody was checking anything. I regret choosing this hotel. It delivered none of the comfort, service, or quality it promised, and I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.

The location was perfect, and the service was better than I expected. Staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were modern and super clean, and the beds were really comfortable. Definitely recommend!

We'd stayed at this hotel about five years ago and everything was fine then. Coming back turned out to be a big mistake. We arrived late at night after a long journey, having booked and fully paid for a private room for five people, but they put us in a room with other guests. That's unacceptable and goes against both our booking and basic privacy and comfort. The next morning I asked reception to move us to the room we'd paid for, but they said no rooms were available, even though our reservation had been confirmed in advance. The room toilet also didn't work, and we had to wait until midnight for it to be fixed. That's a serious hygiene and service failure. The staff's behavior upset me even more. In the morning, the receptionist raised their voice and told me I “do not understand” the situation. How is that an acceptable way to treat guests? I shouldn't have to keep running to reception all vacation to ask for the room I paid for. I'm under great stress and can't believe this. Think carefully before going to this hotel.
