6/10
We really liked the beach, especially the comfy loungers and the handy shuttle. The kiosk wasn't staffed, though, so we couldn't get a drink and ended up walking to the shops. The room was lovely, the pools were nice, and service was good, but the food was awful and the meal package definitely wasn't worth the extra cost. Prices were quite high, too. Getting back from town was a bit of a pain, since the hotel sits on a really steep hill, especially in the heat.

2/10
The hotel is well placed for the beach and tourist sights, but our stay was very disappointing. The bathroom wasn't clean, shower water overflowed into the living area, and nobody acted after we reported it to reception. There were visible stains on the mattress, and the kettle was rusty and unclean, so we couldn't safely make tea or coffee. Even basic requests felt unwelcome. We asked for a glass and some ice, and got the ice in a plastic bag. After that, we stopped asking for anything else because we expected more resistance or excuses. The safe in the room also came with a daily fee, and management had removed its batteries, which was inconvenient. The room conditions and lack of hospitality fell well below what we'd expected from a luxury spa hotel.

Shops, bars, and restaurants are all an easy walk away, which made the location really convenient. We spent one night in a family room at Elite Luxury Suite & Spa and had a great time. It was spacious, with a large balcony and lovely sea views. The pool was fantastic too, with an incredible view of the ocean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting Alanya.
