Goldcity Hotel Apartment 2 Bedroom

The indoor pool wasn't heated while we were there in the off season, and the food didn't have much variety. I spent five days at this hotel, which is nowhere near a 5 star place. I've stayed at 4 star hotels far better than this. They didn't clean the room or change the towels during my stay. When I asked at reception the next day about the towels, they told me there was a washing machine and I could wash them myself. At checkout, they charged me extra for energy and wather.

It's a nice hotel, and the staff are friendly and helpful, but there's nothing within walking distance because it's so remote. Some bars, especially the rooftop bar, always charge extra, so it's not truly all inclusive. Seems suited to families who plan to stay inside the hotel.

The views are stunning, and there aren't other hotels crowding the venue. Awesome place.

The pools are a good size and clean, but they're freezing, which does make for a good hangover cure. Food's excellent, can't complain there. Still, that's about the only good thing I can say. There needs to be another bar by the pool. Sometimes the wait for a drink is 15-20 mins, so we started ordering 2-3 at once. The rest feels stuck in the 70s, with cracked and loose tiles, broken banisters, trip hazards and toe stubbers everywhere. One water slide moves because the weld has cracked and failed, just an accident waiting to happen. Hallway carpets are stained, and holes have been filled and left at that. Entertainment is shocking. Once the sun goes down, there's NOTHING to do, and the complex is miles from anywhere, so you can't walk out. Calling this a 5 star resort is a joke. Spend another £2k and go to LongBeach or Pegasus World. We're treating it as a learning experience, but we'd 100% not come back. It's day 3 and we're all bored.
