Holiday Garden Resort

The a’la carte restaurant was the one bright spot, since it was the only place with any variety. For all 8 days, the same dishes kept coming, with no seafood at all. I’m not picky, but the food was extremely disappointing, and finding a clean plate took effort because the dishes were always dirty. The hygiene elsewhere was poor too. The pool water and beach areas were dirty, sunbeds were broken, and the beds in the rooms were worn out and in disrepair. Rooms had no slippers or bathrobes, and towels were free only once. Guests were expected to use the same towel for the whole week unless they paid extra. Wi-Fi also cost extra, which is absurd for a hotel claiming this category. This didn’t feel like a 5-star stay. The all-inclusive claim is misleading when so many basic things aren’t included. I won’t return or recommend it to anyone.

The only good thing was the Spa. Mami was absolutely fantastic. The hygiene was diabolical. Everything was filthy, from the grounds and rooms to the restaurants, plates, cutlery, bedsheets, and glasses. Food hygiene was shocking too, with flies around and cold buffet food left uncovered without refrigeration. Food choice was very limited, with almost nothing for breakfast. You had to wait in a very long, slow queue to get anything. There was no kettle in the room, and the drinks were cold. What a wasted, disappointing holiday, and definitely not a 5-star hotel.

I was there for a week with my family. The workers were very rude, and the rooms were old and really dirty. Plates, cutlery, and glasses hadn’t been washed properly. The latest food seemed to be leftovers, and they didn’t care about the food. They served you awful portions, and there wasn’t enough for everyone, or most people. So sad I wasn’t smarter and didn’t read the comments before booking. Shame.

We had a wonderful holiday and are planning to stay at Holiday Garden again next year. I liked the hotel in general, from the bars, restaurants, food, and activities to the aqua. Thanks for everything, Holiday Garden Resort family. It was really nice.
