Royalisa Palmiye Beach +14 Adult Only Hotel

The staff made me feel welcome from the start. Reception, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were all friendly and professional, and it felt like they cared about guests having a good stay. The manager especially helped create a relaxed, positive atmosphere. The grounds and pool were beautiful and clean, with plenty of sunbeds. Everything was well maintained. Meals had lots of fresh, tasty choices, from Turkish dishes to international food. Breakfast was lovely, and dinner came with a beautiful sunset view. My room was comfortable, nicely decorated, and spotless each day, with thoughtful touches like neatly folded towels. I spent a week here in Alanya and had no problems at all. The calm atmosphere made it easy to switch off and enjoy myself. The service, food, and surroundings made for a dreamy break that exceeded my expectations. I can't think of anything to complain about, and I'd highly recommend it for a peaceful, quality holiday. I'll definitely return! :))

The location was good, but we didn't enjoy much else. The room felt damp and was cramped, especially the balcony, which was too tight for two people. The entrance lights didn't work, so we couldn't see what we'd hung there. The air conditioning was loud without cooling effectively, and we could hear the neighbours' units too. Breakfast had limited choices. Right at 10am they switched off the coffee machine, made a show of clearing everything away, and turned the music up until it was almost impossible to finish eating. Service felt unwelcoming. The hotel advertises itself as adults-only, but families with young children were around the sun loungers while we were there. That didn't bother me personally, though I can see how it would disappoint people who booked specifically for an adults-only stay. The worst part was the bar and club next door, playing extremely loud music until midnight every day, even when empty. The hotel information should make this much clearer and offer quiet rooms when booking. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The beachfront location is excellent and close to everything, but that was the only good part of the stay. Our room was nothing like the online photos and far too small. We had to put our suitcases on the bed, then move them to the floor each night to sleep. I raised it with staff on the first day, but they didn't seem to care. They kept telling me to come back tomorrow until I gave up. The room was very dirty. Housekeeping only took out the rubbish and changed towels. Loud music outside went on every day until midnight, making it almost impossible to rest. We had towels in the room, but were made to rent separate ones for the beach and weren't allowed to use the room towels. Breakfast was poor, with few choices and low quality food. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Apart from being right on the beach, everything disappointed me. It wasn't worth one star.

We've stayed here before, in 2015 and 2023, and each time it seems to get worse. The neighboring hotel gets louder every year, now with mostly locals and Turkish guests partying there. Breakfast has also gone downhill since the renovation. There used to be more choice, including nuts and several kinds of bread. Now there's just one bread option and no nuts. The rooms are too dark to see much in the evening, though perhaps that hides the dirt and poor cleaning. We found long black hairs every day, even though she's blonde, so it seems the cleaning staff may be using the same cloth in every room. Towels are replaced every three days, not daily. We won't return. The free sunbeds used to be the main reason we chose this hotel, but they're now on a beach where one beer costs 250 Lira. People are already reserving the front rows by 8:30 a.m. That perk doesn't feel worth anything now. It's a shame, since the hotel once had a lot of potential.
