Senza Garden Holiday Club

We had a good nine-night family holiday overall, though there were real highs and lows. The grounds are huge and beautiful, with well-kept flowers and plants that give them a tropical, relaxed feel. Our room was spacious enough for three and had a lovely sea view. The pool is massive, there's usually a bar open somewhere, the waiters and bar staff worked hard and were friendly, and the onsite shops were handy. Getting around the resort can be a workout. It's built across steep hills and lots of stairs. The beds were rock hard, and after a few nights we were waking up sore. The beach is reached by a long flight of stairs, or by a jeep shuttle that only runs once an hour and gets extremely overcrowded. The beach is shared with another hotel, so it can be busy. The pier wasn't good, and the beach is rocky rather than sandy. We still enjoyed lounging there for a few hours, but it wasn't the beach experience we hoped for. The hotel is a long way from town, and taxi costs added up more than we expected. Entertainment was in another language, so we didn't bother with it. Some nights it was so loud that getting the children to sleep early was impossible. It seemed mostly aimed at Russian guests, and we didn't feel included. The slides were disappointing too: they're in a separate, very small pool and only open for an hour or two, twice a day. There was always something on the grill, as well as spaghetti and chips, so we didn't go hungry. The rest of the food was average, with lots of stew-style dishes that didn't really suit our English tastes. One evening the chicken kebab was still bloody and undercooked, though hopefully that was a one-off. Dinner starts at 7 p.m., and everyone rushes in, so it gets chaotic. Waiting until around 8 made it calmer, but that may not work for families with young children who go to bed early. Our sheets weren't changed until the last day. They charge 3 euros per device per day for Wi-Fi, despite calling the stay "ultra" all-inclusive. The website mentions a free reservation at their restaurant serving fresh seafood or fish, but no one mentioned it and we never saw such a restaurant. At checkout they also try to get guests to write a review with a staff member there. My experience was mixed, and I wanted time to think before being pressed to write one in front of staff. The setting, views, and pool had a lot going for them, but the hills and painfully hard beds would stop me from returning.

The climb up the hill to the restaurants was the only real downside for me, and I can see it tiring some people. Everything else made for a lovely stay. The location was ideal, the entertainment team kept things lively during the day, and the beach was beautiful and relaxing, with a stunning view. The pool was clean, spacious, and a nice place to cool off. My room was much larger and cleaner than I expected, with a big balcony that was a lovely surprise. The new air conditioning worked perfectly. There was plenty to eat and drink, including meals, snacks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, so I was never hungry or thirsty. Staff were friendly, helpful, and smiling, and made the place feel warm and welcoming. I'd seen some older reviews that disappointed me, but my own experience at Senza Garden Holiday Club was completely different and better than expected. I'd definitely go back.

We left with lovely memories and hope to return. From our first day at Sanza Garden Hotel, it felt like home instead of a hotel. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, and everyone was kind, caring, and welcoming. Thank you for everything ❤️ :))

The setting is nice, and the bar staff were pleasant. The buffet was alright, but I got food poisoning at the à la carte fish restaurant. Entertainment was rubbish and often didn't happen at the scheduled time. Reception and management were horrible.
