Frau Guler

We came with our family and two dogs, stayed in the big family room, and fell in love with the place. It was the off season, but still lively, beautiful, and warm. Most of all, it was completely SPOTLESS, one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed. The town is a short walk away, and the view is breathtaking. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, and the other guests were warm too. I’m 10000% coming back with friends during swimming season. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Even arriving very late, at 2am local time, we had a wonderful stay at Frau Güler Hotel. The place felt welcoming and personal while still being professional, with a lovely balance of charm and comfort. The hotel is by the sea in a quiet but accessible part of town, within walking distance of shops, cafes, and public transport. It made a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Our spotless rooms were modern and tastefully decorated, with comfortable bedding, soft lighting, and good soundproofing for restful nights. Housekeeping was attentive and consistent. The owners and staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and their attention to detail gave the place a genuine family-run feel. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh local ingredients and a good range for different dietary preferences. The small garden terrace was a peaceful place to unwind in the evenings. Amasra was a highlight of our four-day trip from Istanbul through Abant Bolu and Safranbolu. I found it one of the most beautiful towns in Turkey, with history, nature, and sea views unlike anything I’d seen there. It’s underrated, and I’d say it’s a must-stay if you’re visiting Safranbolu. At Frau, inside the old castle walls, everything is within walking distance, so there’s no need for a car. Just get clear parking instructions ahead of time. We loved every part of our stay. Breakfast was homemade and served on a terrace with an amazing view. Chatting and joking with Gulsah, her lovely husband, and their wonderful team made it such a relaxing experience. They were preparing sarma yaprak, and we talked about different yaparak flavours. We could have sat there for hours in peace. Thank you, Gozde, for the delicious breakfast and warm service. Sarab, it was so nice to meet you, and I hope we meet again. Your coffee made our day. Thanks to Ozlem for the great service and help. The family feeling at Frau Guler is really positive.
