Grand Hermes Hotel

The sea and beach were lovely: sandy, shallow, and safe for children, with plenty of sunbeds. The hotel is steps from the water, has its own parking, and the pool's midday shade was useful. But the property badly needs maintenance. Check-in was a mess: staff seemed indifferent, gave us the wrong room, didn't know how many beds each room had, and first asked for our luggage before asking for IDs. We couldn't get across that our group needed two rooms, not three. One room advertised as having four beds only had two, and the tap in the other was broken. We changed rooms, but they smelled strongly as soon as we walked in. The bedspreads were stained, furniture neglected, dust and hair everywhere, and the toilet stains were awful. We had to clean both rooms ourselves. Food had no variety, the bread was stale and soggy, and the tea urn taps were covered with hairnets; water came from a dispenser. Some tables had tablecloths and others didn't, and none seemed clean. They used individual fans too. We felt as if we'd annoyed the owners by showing up. As practically the only foreigners, we got strange stares and suspicious smiles, which made us uncomfortable. Such a wonderful sea and location deserve better.

We spent two nights and three days here with our family. The rooms were old, dirty, and barely clean at all. Food came as a set menu and was awful, and there was no customer service. Water kept running, while the pool heater made noise all day. The air conditioners were loud too, so this place meant for relaxing left us unable to sleep. They call it a buffet, but that feels deceptive. The food was terrible. Don't go, and please don't recommend it.

The sea view was like a painting, and waking up to it was wonderful. The pool and spa were lovely places to unwind. From the moment I arrived, the welcome made me feel special; everyone was kind, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean, with every detail thought through. Breakfast was an open buffet with plenty of choices for different tastes. It felt like a true five-star experience, and I'd happily recommend it to everyone! 🌴🌊😍🤩

The kitchen was a highlight. Dinner came with two main dishes and two sides, plus more than 10 appetizers and salads, and the food was delicious. Breakfast was identical on all four days: boiled eggs, sausage with tomato paste, fries, cheeses, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, jams, and honey, with light and dark options. Eggs, sausages, and potatoes were available too. Dinner had fish on the menu, and I appreciated that there was never a fish smell in the morning. The hotel was generally clean, and though I brought lots of towels, they still provided one when I asked. The location is great, right by the sea and in the middle of the market. There are night market rides and places for sweet ice cream. The private sunbed, umbrella, and shower were useful, though we also swam wherever we wanted along the beach. Walking by the sea at 6 a.m., when it was cool and quiet, was a special experience. There are two elevators, but one was out of order and the other couldn't handle the crowds. The pool was small and didn't look clean to me, so I didn't use it. Parking is available. The building and fixtures are old and poorly maintained: the air conditioner, mini-wardrobe, wooden wardrobe, room door, and balcony table and chairs all showed their age. There was no Wi-Fi on the 5th floor. At least the beds weren't old and the linens were clean. Our room was small, and they put four of us in a three-bed room. They added another bed, but then there was no space to move. The air conditioner and minibar were old and inadequate. For the price, it works for a family of four, but fixing those things would make it more comfortable.
