Atakule King Hotel

The room had serious hygiene issues. Cleaning was poor, the towels didn't look clean, and there was no drinking water. There wasn't even an empty minibar, and the kettle had a little water left in it, which seemed like used water. The phone signal was also missing. The worst part was the plumbing. The shower had barely any water, so after traveling all day, I couldn't even wash properly. That's unacceptable in a hotel. I was only there from evening until morning, but ran into all these basic problems. Unless they make major improvements to cleanliness, maintenance, and especially the plumbing, I can't recommend this place.

My wife and I only needed a room for one night, on May 1st, and the stay was very poor value. The floor smelled strongly of fried food, while the room stank of cigarette smoke. Wallpaper was peeling in both the toilet and bathroom, and the shower head was broken and sprayed water everywhere. There was no remote in the room. We asked for one and were told, "I'll look into it," but nothing came of that. They advertise breakfast as included, but the selection was very small and not enough. Their idea of a buffet seemed to be just putting ingredients on a counter. Calling this a four-star hotel is unfair to other hotels. It doesn't meet that standard.

We stayed one night on January 31, 2026. The room was clean and warm, and the location was very good. When booking, we mentioned that cleanliness mattered to us, and the hotel checked several times whether things met our expectations. We appreciated that. Breakfast wasn't a huge spread, but there was enough for an ordinary meal. We'd consider staying here again if we're in the area.

The room was a good temperature, and breakfast was nice. The location is also very convenient, with places to visit close by. Still, they should take more care with cleaning, since the inside of our cup was filthy. They also charged us for water we didn't drink, saying it couldn't be deducted from the system, just so you know.
