Has otel

We booked at the last minute over the phone with help from a stranger who spoke Turkish, and the man at reception welcomed us warmly. The room was nice, comfortable, and very warm even in February, with good hot water in the shower. It was great value for the money. He was exceptionally helpful and friendly. He didn't speak English, but used Google translate to answer all our questions. While we waited for our bus, we chatted with him and he offered us nice coffees. The night before, he negotiated with taxi drivers to get us to the salt lake. We recommend this place.

The room cost 750 TL, and I wouldn't stay there again even for 75 TL. The building is very old and dirty, with a strong cigarette smell. The window looks straight onto a neighboring building, so there's no privacy unless you keep the curtains shut. The A/C and refrigerator didn't work, and housekeeping left the trash in the room. There's mold throughout the room, especially in the bathroom, and the smell was disgusting. I nearly threw up during the night, and even 12 hours after checkout my clothes still smelled like mold. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Spend a few more bucks for somewhere better. Avoid Has Hotel at all costs.

The receptionists were very friendly, but I wouldn't recommend this place to a western traveler unless there is nothing else available in the area. The rooms are in bad shape and the bed linens were stained. I was scared to get into the shower. Cigarette smoke was everywhere and came into the rooms under the doors.

They were such kind hosts. Even though they had no rooms left, they called around to local hotels to find us somewhere to stay, then went with us to the place. They even offered us food and drinks for free.
