The receptionist was very professional, and the staff were lovely and always helpful. The room was large, with a nice balcony, a good location, and WiFi. But the smell was powerful. The old sheets and toilet smelled so bad that I slept in my clothes so my hair and body wouldn’t pick up the odor, then washed those clothes. The dishes were dirty, and I wasn’t satisfied with the hygiene overall. I stayed seven nights. Laundry nearby cost 350 TL for 7 kilograms, though you can find much cheaper options in the north of the city. If they could deal with the old sheet smell and the toilet odor, it would be an okay hotel.

The receptionist was very nice and helpful. His English was broken, but he understood what you needed. I stayed three days, and there was no housekeeping at all. The room was small and a bit dirty, and the breakfast, though offered, was below average. I’d expected cereal, milk, or something suitable for my baby, but there was nothing like that. It was a three-out-of-five experience.

The staff were professional, genuine, friendly, and quick to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was great, and our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and very clean. The location is almost perfect, about a five-minute walk from the city centre.

The location is nice, and for this price range it’s one of the better options. I’ve stayed here for a night at a time over the years. It’s clean and the mattresses are good, though the place feels dated despite having some style. Sometimes there’s a smell of smoke. Fine for a night or two.

For USD 23 a night, this was a very good stay in the heart of Ankara, just a five-minute walk from kocatepe Mosque and Kizlay meydan. The breakfast buffet was generous, though the breakfast lounge could use an update. The rooms were clean and hygiene-minded, with a sparkling clean restroom. Staff were outstanding, and the hotel’s GM, Mr. Suleman, was always available to help. He knows a lot of history and adds real value to a stay in Ankara.
