For three people, the rate was 1035 TRY per night, about 56 USD or £51.40. At that price or less, you can find nicer accommodation elsewhere in Antakya or by the beach in nearby Arsuz. The breakfast was good, as was the service at the restaurant in the other building. The hotel isn’t suitable for wheelchair users, and older people may find the stairs to the rooms difficult. There’s no reception, so you have to call the hotel for someone to come check you in. At night, we waited outside for about 5 minutes. We were given the wrong WiFi password on arrival and asked to share a WhatsApp number, which felt intrusive. Nobody told us where our paid breakfast was served. We missed it the next morning because our question, sent at 10 AM, wasn’t answered until 2 PM. The replacement WiFi password arrived by WhatsApp, but the network had no internet. We tried four devices on Windows, iOS, and Android, and none could connect. Management said they’d reset the modem after we asked, but they didn’t. We couldn’t use the hotel internet either night and had to rely on our own mobile hotspots. The “vintage” room was simply old, rather than vintage. There was a constant bad smell from the bathroom pipes, which should be cleaned or covered. Staff didn’t speak English and asked us to text instead of call, but when they took a long time to answer our questions, they said they wished “we had called”. Breakfast is in another building, a 5-8-minute walk from the hotel. There’s no dedicated parking, so we parked on a nearby avenue. To check out, we had to call again and were asked, in very broken English, to leave our keys on the desk by the entrance. The desk had copies of the keys to every room, and the hotel entrance was wide open. Potentially, anyone could walk in, take all the keys, and remove guests’ belongings. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel, but I wouldn’t tell anyone to avoid it either. In my experience, there are many things to improve.

After booking a room for 3 nights, I messaged the hotel to explain that one of our 4 pax had difficulty walking and needed a handicapped-friendly room. A staff member called and said there was just one step at the entrance and 3 steps to the 2 rooms on the ground floor. I said a few steps would be fine. But when we arrived in the evening, we found 3 steps up to reception, no rooms on the ground floor, and 17 steps to the first floor. The manager offered us 2 rooms at their other boutique hotel, but there was no car access there and we would have had to pay the difference in rates. After that experience, we had to find another hotel.

A lovely apartment, renovated with style. The staff were nice, and the location was good.

The flat was OK, and the owner was kind and accommodating.
