A tasty breakfast and friendly staff, all at an attractive price. The location is convenient too, with the sea and bike rental nearby and the old town not far away.

The reception workers were nice, and the hotel was pretty good for the price with breakfast included. I understand you can’t expect too much at this rate, but breakfast could use more variety. For instance, they could switch from boiled eggs every day to omelette or scrambled eggs and sausage sometimes. My room was beside the corridor, and it got pretty loud when people walked past.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It’s near Konyaalti beach, shops, restaurants, and public transport, and the staff were fairly friendly. That’s about where the positives end. We chose it to save money, but there are better places at the same price, and we wouldn’t stay again. There were three of us, and our room was far too small for that many people. It seemed suitable for two at most. Maybe we got an “exclusive” attic room on the top floor, though the hotel didn’t look close to full. We also got just one key for the room, which is awkward when people want to come and go separately. On the fourth floor, the stairwell lights either didn’t work or flickered every evening, leaving us to climb in the dark or use our phone flashlights. The sheets were damp and the pillows wet when we arrived. It felt as if air freshener had been sprayed on the bed moments before check-in and hadn’t dried. Each person got one large and one small towel, plus disposable slippers, which was acceptable. The room cleaning was poor: long hairs and dirt on the floor, dusty panels and windows, curtains that smelled of dust and cigarettes, and broken coat hooks hanging loose. The balcony was dusty, its furniture dirty, and the windows filthy. The bathroom was in terrible shape. The extractor fan was filthy and didn’t make a sound, and with no working fan we could hear every sneeze, cough, word, step, and other noise from neighbors. There was a dirty, broken toilet seat, a leaking shower head, and shower doors that didn’t close properly, leaving water all over the floor. Hair from previous guests covered the ceiling, and mold on the tiles looked as if it had gone untreated for years. Hot water sometimes took ten minutes to come, and sometimes never arrived, so we had to shower in cold or lukewarm water. The bathroom door was broken too, and would stay shut only if locked with the key. The Wi-Fi was nearly useless. There were about six access points, but the connection only worked in the lobby. In our room it dropped within two minutes every time, so we relied on mobile data throughout the stay. Anyone hoping to work remotely should forget it or bring their own internet. Breakfast was fresh and tasty enough, and we like traditional Turkish food, but it was exactly the same each day. Even the watermelon and melon served all week had no taste at all.
