Laren Family Hotel & Spa - Boutique Hotel

I’m on day four of a seven-day booking, and it’s been a disappointment so far. The rooms are noisy enough that you can hear people next door talking, and barking dogs outside at night make it hard to sleep. This morning there wasn’t any water in the shower, so I couldn’t wash before heading to my activities. As a vegetarian, I’ve found almost nothing to eat beyond some salad. I’ve been living on fries for three days because they still haven’t provided a proper vegetarian meal. Each day I’m sent to someone different, but nothing gets sorted. Dinner feels uncomfortable too. Staff watch what you’re doing, then come over as soon as you stand up, as if you need to pay. I’m all-inclusive and keep having to prove it. There was no shampoo in the shower from the first day, hygiene is poor, and the gym can’t be used. The mats are even covered in mold. Bad service, limited food, poor cleanliness and no comfort. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

It felt really peaceful here, and the buffet was exceptional. There’s also a spa, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, massage therapy room and hair salon. The staff were excellent, and the sea and a waterfall were both very close. I’d definitely recommend it.

The room was uncomfortable and there was a bad smell from the toilet. My sister was staying here after surgery, and she said the staff weren’t friendly or approachable. The hospital had told me I could come and go as needed after her procedure, since I was staying at the hotel next door. But the staff here said I was “forbidden” to do that, which was upsetting and caught me off guard. It wasn’t a good experience, and we wouldn’t book here again.

My watch disappeared from my room. I don't see how you can’t leave your things there without someone taking them. The food was awful too, with so little choice that I had to eat out every day. People were laughing and having drinks, and security came over to tell them off. Just appalling.
