The hotel’s location is convenient for families, in a safe small town near shops and markets, about 13 km from Alanya. It has a private beach about a pleasant five-minute walk away, with plenty of parasols and seats. The beach is rocky and often has big waves. The sign above the entrance is hidden by trees, so it can be hard to find when you arrive. The room was spotless, and housekeeping did a thorough job every day. The mini-fridge was stocked daily with free water, and there was a boiler, Nescafé, tea, coffee mate, and sugar. Reception and most staff were friendly and helpful. The outside pool was very good, but the indoor pool is only open 7:00-10:00 and 17:00-18:00. The gym is small and basic for a five-star hotel, with restrictive 7:00-19:00 hours. Activities could be better organized too. Schedules should be posted clearly at reception and the board kept up to date. The lobby WiFi is free but slow, while in-room WiFi costs extra, which is unexpected for a hotel of this class. The entrance smoking area is too close to the lobby, leaving a strong smoke smell inside, and mosquitoes make sitting in the lobby uncomfortable. Management should move the smoking area and deal with the mosquitoes, especially for guests with allergies or asthma. Meals were fair, though not what I’d expect from a five-star hotel. Breakfast was simple and limited, while lunch and dinner were acceptable but could improve. Salads were always fresh and delicious, and there was a large, beautiful cake every day. The free juices tasted artificially sweetened, and fresh orange juice cost 2€. There was a serious incident on the beach: after a family left, an employee used inappropriate, “very bad words” in Turkish about them because their children had been playing and digging a hole in the sand next to their seat. That behavior needs immediate attention and staff training.

Food was spectacular, and the hotel offers good value for money. The rooms were spacious and clean, and housekeeping was thorough. Shops are an easy walk away. There were lots of children, though, so the hotel was noisy and the pools got crowded. A few steps into the sea, you hit rocks. The biggest hassle was the lifts: there are only two for the whole hotel, so you might wait a long time around breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Overall, it’s a nice hotel.

The animation team was fantastic, housekeeping were very kind, and the food was generally good. The kitchen and buffet staff were nice too, but rude, inattentive waiters spoiled the dining experience. Most other staff, from reception to the bars, seemed uninterested and unhelpful. The safety problems were serious. I got an electric shock from a buffet station and had to go to hospital. The hotel denied responsibility despite medical confirmation, offered no apology, and tried to call it static electricity. There were several unexplained power cuts, and the poolside and lobby floors were dangerously slippery. I saw guests fall, but no safety measures were taken. The beach was dirty and full of plastic, unusable and not family-friendly. Beds were extremely hard. There was only one key card per room, so the electricity, including the air conditioning and fridge, switched off when we went out. That’s risky if you need to keep medication cool. Another frustration was the sunbeds. Although the rules say they can’t be reserved, staff did nothing when other guests held six loungers for over six hours. When we used just two, those guests came back angry, and staff refused to step in. It was uncomfortable and could have been avoided if they’d done their job. The hotel has potential, but the poor safety, weak management, and bad service attitude mean I can’t recommend it, especially to families or anyone with health or safety needs.

Once the room issue was sorted, the rest of our stay went smoothly. The food was good, the other staff were always friendly, the rooms were new and clean, and the hotel facilities were decent. The beach was just a few minutes away, and its bar served good food and drinks. But one man made the whole holiday excruciating, and someone who can’t resolve problems internally shouldn’t be dealing with guests. We were 15 family members, including six elderly relatives, and arrived after 10 p.m. Our travel agency had arranged and confirmed the airport transfer. We were told the rooms weren’t ready, so we’d have to sleep in different room categories and move the next morning. That was inconvenient, but these things happen. In the morning, though, the rooms still weren’t ready, and we were told to wait until after midday. We’d booked more than four months ahead and paid in full. The receptionist laughed and said nothing could be done. We asked for the manager, only to learn he was the same man. He acted aggressively, told one person “don’t touch me,” and threatened to cancel all our rooms and refuse us entry. Our elderly relatives were distressed and confused. He blamed us for arriving late. He eventually calmed down, and we changed rooms mid-afternoon. The next day, the Join Up representative heard our complaint and said there was nothing she could do. She also said the manager often behaves rudely with other guests and that this was “normal for him.” The hotel is very family-oriented, with lots of children and mostly Muslim guests. That’s not a problem, but you may want to avoid too much public affection with your partner to prevent misunderstandings.
