Assos Altın Otel

It’s good value for money, and we liked the hotel and its friendly staff. Kadırga Beach has beautiful water, though it gets deep quickly and may not suit people who have trouble swimming. The pool is small, but fine for cooling off and sunbathing when it isn’t crowded. The bar area could use some work. The cocktails listed on the menu weren’t available yet, but the staff still tried to make one to our taste, which was great.

I liked the view and all the greenery around the hotel, but overall I wasn’t very happy with the stay. We came from Eskişehir for a school trip. At dinner the main course had run out, so I ended up taking cold appetizers from the buffet; a replacement main dish came later. They said tea after dinner was complimentary. The first cups were free, but we were charged 60 TL for the second. There was a yellow stain on the toilet, and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. The room cupboard was empty. My son asked for ayran, a yogurt drink, with dinner and was charged 150 TL.

We stayed here last year and again this year without any problems. It’s good value, with a convenient location, attentive staff, and delicious food, so there’s no need to look for restaurants elsewhere. You can walk straight from the hotel to the sea, and the sunbeds are free. The water is lovely and clean, though a little cold at first until you get used to it. We really liked the place.

A wonderful family hotel, where we’ve stayed before. Mr. Atakan owns the place, and Mr. Atakan, Ms. Sinem at reception, and Ms. Yasemin and Mr. Ömer in the restaurant and bar were all very helpful. Thanks to them all. 🙏🏼👋
