Assos Barbarossa Hotel - Special Class

We only stopped at this hotel by chance while looking for a night with the kids, but ended up extending our stay. It’s in a busy area full of hotels, yet still felt peaceful, with the beautiful emerald Aegean right in front. Even with the hotel full, lots of children around, and a mini water park just outside our balcony, it was surprisingly quiet. Our room was spacious, clean, nicely decorated, and had good amenities and comfortable beds. The staff were polite, especially Emir, who kindly interpreted for me since I don’t speak Turkish. Breakfast was plentiful, and the restaurant had choices my picky kids would eat. The pools were clean and suited different ages and swimming abilities, with slides for younger children and a good entertainment area.

The rooms were kept clean, but the shower temperature kept changing and the drain was clogged. Breakfast was good, though restaurant service overall was poor. There was no internet, and the adult pool area had no service or towels.

The hotel looks nice, with good design, clean spaces, and pleasant rooms. The restaurant was the worst part: there was no menu or prices displayed. We ordered kofte (meatballs), which tasted bad and seemed industrially made, then paid 110 lira. That was the most I’ve ever paid for kofte. Make sure to ask the price before ordering.
