We loved waking early to watch the sun come up over the mountains from our balcony. Every room has both mountain and sea views, and the view is magnificent. Hüseyin was efficient, helpful, and spoke good English. Breakfast starts at 9:00, which was great since we didn’t have to get up so early, though the menu could be better. I’d hoped for menemen and sausages and was a little disappointed, but it wasn’t a big deal. The hotel pool wasn’t running because of resource problems, but since it’s the sister hotel of Kaya Blue Hotel (waterfront), we were welcomed and served by the beach, where we could swim and lounge for free. Staff were wonderful and quick to resolve problems. The food was delicious, and it felt worth the money. We stayed three nights and plan to return and recommend it to friends. They’re animal lovers, too :)

The rooms match what’s advertised, and the view from this boutique hotel high in the mountains is scenic. It’s a peaceful break from the busy cities, with quick service at a fair price. The Eagles Nest is a fitting name for it. Getting there means taking a very rough road, and the photos of the common areas are a bit misleading.

We picked this hotel for its location, but the service quality left us disappointed. We’d booked expecting a fireplace and balcony, yet the room we were given had neither. There was no hot water, and even after we called repeatedly that evening, they didn’t offer a lasting fix. In the cold weather, that was a real inconvenience. Room cleaning never came in the morning, and there wasn’t fresh bread in the kitchen. We’d hoped for a warm, comfortable stay, so these problems fell well short of what we expected. We wanted a more attentive and honest approach.

Rainwater leaked into the room from several places, which made our stay uncomfortable and spoiled the holiday. The bathroom was especially cold, and there was no hot water during our four nights. Room service also fell short: after the first day, no daily cleaning was done, and we had to supply even basic things like toilet paper ourselves. I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that the service improves.
