The olive-tree garden is lovely, and sitting outside the rooms with chairs to chat was a real pleasure. The sea is clear and full of fish when it isn't wavy, with a shallow sandy bottom. But the pier sunbeds are hard to use for long: the fixed shade leaves one side in direct sun before noon and the other side after noon. The movable umbrellas on the concrete area above the pier are a better place to claim a spot. The rooms sit two to a prefabricated platform supported by four wheels and a bar. You feel the next room's movements through the bed and floor whenever someone gets up or comes and goes. There's no sound insulation, and even a tiny noise or vibration carries over. An unattended biscuit can bring in ants. Sharing adjoining rooms with someone you know might be manageable, but next door to strangers would be uncomfortable. Breakfast was disappointing, and the dining area's hygiene wasn't even average. It was mostly cheese, jams, chocolate, butter, honey, tomatoes and cucumbers, plus two cigarette börek per person and one serving of scrambled egg. They could make it more appealing and filling with inexpensive additions like a few salami slices, Turkish sausage cooked into the eggs, Turkish fried dough, or fries.

The electricity didn't return until evening, and instead of being understanding, they said they'd collect the sunbeds at the best time of day because an engagement party was planned that night. We had paid upfront, so what was that supposed to mean? We were late checking in the previous day because there was no power or water and the cleaning wasn't done. There were still hairs on the towels, and the refrigerator leaked. A generator apparently hadn't been invented yet. At breakfast they said they had run out of black olives. In Çanakkale, really? And the place wasn't a tiny house, it was a Turkish bath! I can only assume they'll serve everyone their spoiled fish tonight. This business doesn't deserve the sea it sits by. Anyone coming here must want to waste their money.

We were four people and had booked a month ahead for the August 30 public holiday, sending the requested deposit to secure our room. Only as we arrived to check in did we learn that the guest in the room wanted to extend by one more day. The hotel's suggestion, made at that last moment and without having told us beforehand, was that we stay in an apartment for the night. We asked them to move the guest who wanted to extend to the apartment and give us the room we'd booked, but they refused. We even said we could wait until 5 p.m. to check in, and still they wouldn't let us into the room. We had driven from Istanbul for five hours and were left in a very difficult position. The staff seemed not to know what the others were doing, and dealing with them cost us a lot of time. We left and, after hours of searching, thankfully found somewhere else. With that approach and no workable solution, we learned this is a place we would never recommend staying.

The food, appetizers, and fish were outstanding, and the atmosphere is lovely. The reason I'm writing is to ask the hotel to improve, not to tell people not to go. But the service really took away from the experience. The chef, especially the person handling breakfast, only seems to take orders every half hour. When we ordered, they were already asking how we wanted the standard breakfast, with cheese, olives, and extra eggs. The attitude was terrible, and it felt like guests were just made to wait. We asked for extra bread one morning and it never came. The next day we asked whether we could place an order, and were told the wait was 45 minutes. Who wants to wait that long for a standard breakfast? People seem to put up with it because they have little choice in the moment. We stayed three nights and four days over Eid al-Adha. On the phone, they said a standard room was available but didn't mention how small it was. We didn't make much of it, but the room was neglected: no cleaning or towel changes. For 4,000 TL a day, towels could at least have been changed once. The food is excellent, the service is poor.

We were four girls staying together, and the staff were so sweet and attentive. The beach area and restaurant are lovely, and the food was delicious and clearly made with care. It's a beautiful place, and we'll definitely be back again and again. 🥰
