Kaymak Tepesi Tatil Evi

The setting is pleasant, and the location could work well if you want to be near Assos or within walking distance of Küçükkuyu center. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times and tried many other places in the area, but after my last visit I won’t choose Kaymak Tepesi again. The evening food, especially the meat dishes, was tasty, and I think it’s worth trying dinner or breakfast at least once. Breakfast had plenty of variety, though it didn’t live up to the reviews. For a stay, though, I wouldn’t recommend it. The rooms weren’t clean enough, and we had a lot of trouble when the air conditioner broke. It couldn’t be fully fixed, and the first employee who came to work on it stepped barefoot on the guest bed without any concern for hygiene. Room insulation may also be a problem. There are better options.

We enjoyed the food and the view, and both the owner and waiters were attentive. The bill was 3200 TL for a 35cl Beylerbeyi, bean salad, 4 appetizers, and a portion of meatballs. Olives and sauces were brought to the table at no extra charge. The fried green beans are worth trying.

The setting is wonderful, with the sea on one side and Mount Ida on the other ❤️. We came for breakfast, and it was magnificent. We live in Istanbul and have tried plenty of well-known breakfast spots, but I haven’t had one this good in a long time. Everything was fresh and delicious, including the homemade jams, olives, and pastries. The leek dough especially stayed with me. :) They serve small portions to avoid waste, which I really appreciated. The owners and staff kept checking in and were very attentive. We’ll definitely return when we’re back.

The meal left us unhappy, even though they tried to impress us at first. The man who served us initially didn’t even look our way when bringing the bill. For 3 pieces of lamb chops, 2 pieces of Beyti, 4 kinds of meze, salad, and a 20cl pitcher of raki, we were charged 3850 lira, which felt excessive. The raki was served without asking, and some of the mezes were far too salty. The Gavurdagi had honey in place of pomegranate molasses, while the Beyti was mostly fat with very little meat. The view is beautiful, but the stone-paved road is difficult to drive on.
