Buyuk Berk Otel

For two adults and our three-year-old, the all-inclusive price was very affordable, even with the holiday affecting the rate. We booked through ETS Tur for May 27 to May 30. The food was fresh, tasty, and varied, and the pools were great, with plenty aimed at children. Expectations do change when you're traveling with kids. Compared with the ultra-luxury hotel we stayed at last year in Alanya, this was much better. The main problem was cleanliness. The room wasn't terrible when we arrived, but the supposed cleaning was disappointing, since they hadn't even swept. Our child dropped something under the bed on the first day, and when we looked, it was a mess of dust. The pool also didn't look cleaned when we went in the morning. It was stuffy at night, but we couldn't run the air conditioning for fear it would affect our child, and opening the window meant unbearable noise. I think sorting out the cleaning might help with the stuffiness too. We won't stay another night and are leaving tonight. The restaurant staff and some others were very good, but a few people at the towel shop and reception seemed unhappy, and it made asking questions feel regrettable. For the price and area, it's not bad apart from that.

The hotel didn't feel comfortable at all. Everything was limited, and nothing seemed to be good quality. We paid full board, yet the service was extremely poor, and the towels were old and in short supply. The rooms were also very old and badly maintained. The air conditioning didn't work properly, and the tap water tasted almost like seawater, so we tried not to taste it. The cleaning fee was high compared with other hotels nearby, but the service didn't come close to justifying the cost. However you look at it, this place is a failure and not worth the money. I don't recommend it.

The staff work hard and are respectful, and everyone seemed to do their job well. The place is spotless, from the showers and toilets to the restaurants. It's an older hotel, with a slight issue around sound insulation, but for the price it is quite adequate and better than its competitors, even without five-star comfort. It's right on the Sarımsaklı beachfront, with a private beach where you can bring your own towels and use the sunbeds and umbrellas. We chose breakfast only. There wasn't a huge range, but it was enough. There are two pools, one 120 cm and the other 160 cm, plus a water slide. Families with children could especially consider it a five-star hotel. It deserves five stars for hygiene and cleanliness.

The food and drinks were excellent, the service was superb, and there were plenty of facilities. We especially liked having the pool right beside the sea. The activity areas are close together, which worked well for us. Staff were attentive from the moment we arrived through to the end. Even though we visited during a busy period, everything went smoothly. Thank you.
