Cunda Demir Hotel

We were very happy with our one-night family stay on May 28-29. It’s calm and away from the crowds in Cunda, and I’d recommend it. The rooms and pool were spotless, which matters a lot when you’re with children. Breakfast was excellent, especially the gözleme (Turkish flatbread) and homemade fried food. Compliments to the chef. Hope to see you again ✌️😊

I lost one day of our two-day booking searching for somewhere else to stay, then spent the other day leaving. We found a dead centipede under the bed, loads of ants, and used slippers. We were travelling with our baby, so we explained our hygiene concerns and asked for a refund. They refused and only moved us to another room. Salih showed us the rooms, but even after we said cleanliness was the issue, he raised his voice and threatened us, saying, “Even if we gave you a palace, you wouldn’t like it.” A colleague had to push him away to calm things down. I’ve never seen such unprofessional conduct at a hotel. We didn’t want a palace, just a clean place to stay. The hygiene was terrible and the staff’s behavior was awful. I absolutely do not recommend it.

We had a two-night booking through Tatilbudur, but had to stay the first night because we couldn’t cancel. My wife and I were there with our 10-month-old baby. In the first room, we found a dead centipede and other dead bugs under the bed. They said the place had recently been fumigated, but why hadn’t it been cleaned? The replacement room had stained sheets and a stained headboard, dead insects, broken cabinets, a broken toilet seat, and half-empty shower gel bottles left by previous guests. The place was mediocre, and for the same price there are clean businesses that treat guests respectfully and don’t put their health at risk. Even with photos, Tatilbudur didn’t process our cancellation. They should check who they’re dealing with. Don’t take health lightly or risk it over a centipede bite, and don’t waste your money either.

After seeing the negative reviews, I’m glad we still came. We stayed one night in August 2025, and the room was spotless. The staff were kind and helpful with everything, and the place felt safe. If I return to Cunda, I’d definitely stay here again.
