Gaja Ayvalik

We only spent a couple of nights at Gaja, and wished we could have stayed longer. Demet and her husband have put so much care into the place. Their thoughtful touches make it feel warm and welcoming, like being at home, and you can tell how much love they’ve put into the hotel. The room was charming and comfortable, and the peaceful setting meant we slept really well. The hotel is beautiful, with everything we needed and then some. The hosts were quick and helpful whenever we got in touch. We tried the Turkish breakfast one morning. Since it’s usually a large meal, we ordered one portion, but they kindly split it between us and added extra so my husband and I could both enjoy it. It was a lovely gesture, and the breakfast itself was delicious and high quality, one of the best we’ve had. We’re grateful for how well we were looked after and can’t wait to return. Next time we’re in Ayvalık, we’ll stay at Gaja again. Thanks to our hosts, the Gaja staff, and their little cats for such a lovely stay.

We visited for two nights in September 2025 and were very pleased with our stay. Demet was especially friendly, and gave us useful advice on places to eat and have coffee, sights to see, and where to park the car. The room was cozy, clean, and quiet.

The location is really good, and it was quiet enough for me even though I’m sensitive to noise. My room was clean and modern, with just the right bed and lighting. Demet is kind and very helpful. I’m so happy I stayed at gaja and would recommend it to everyone.

Nothing to complain about: comfortable facilities, very kind staff, and a great location. This is the best place to stay in Ayvalik. Thanks, Demet 🫶
