Or Tarihi Rum Conagi Antikhan We were able to park our bicycles securely in the breakfast area, and the location worked well for us. It's convenient to walk into central Ayvalik. One owner speaks German, but neither speaks English. The beds were very comfortable, and the towels were thick and absorbent. Rooms have kettles, which is a nice touch, though the cord couldn't reach the high socket. The bathrooms are all tiny all-in-one setups with an open shower, which was perfectly fine. The new owners had only been open for a month, so some things may have been part of the learning curve. We got the last available room, one of the two tiny rooms, 6 and 7, with very little room for luggage. They should really only have a single bed. At 9, when we came down for breakfast, one owner was asleep on a bench and no tables were set. When he finally woke up, he said the cook hadn't shown up, as though it was fine for guests to find someone asleep in the dining area. Eventually, a nice breakfast was served. We were moved to the bigger room 12, but with windows on three sides it was like a hothouse, and the old air conditioner couldn't keep up. We asked to move again and got the much better room 9, where the air conditioning worked great. The stay was nice enough, but several things didn't merit an excellent review.
