The handcrafted details give the hotel its own character, and it had everything we needed. We loved the view and the warm welcome, and breakfast was fantastic. For places to eat, ask Mr Serkan. He knows the town’s best spots.

Cunda and Ayvalık turned out to be small, lovely places, and you can see a lot of this charming destination in about three days. We spent two excellent nights here. The building and room looked very clean, and staying there had the feel of being in a genuinely historic place. Breakfast was generous, and the staff were cheerful.

We could happily have stayed longer. Our top-floor luxury room was spacious, with a gorgeous view and even a big bath tucked into the corner, a lovely romantic touch. The staff were kind, cheerful, and really helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of local produce. The town is easy to explore on foot from here, while the hotel itself is quiet in the evenings. Wi-Fi was a bit slow, but this is the kind of place where you can switch off and enjoy the history.

A lovely hotel with welcoming staff. It’s about a five-minute walk from the center, and the Cunda sights are easy to get to.
