Villa Pietra Butik Otel

The terrace right over the water at Villa Pietra is something we’ll remember, along with Jamal and the whole team’s warm hospitality. We had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Thank you!

We really enjoyed the atmosphere of this boutique hotel in the center of Ayvalık. It sits right by the sea with a fantastic view, and both the building and rooms are decorated beautifully. The food was tasty, and breakfast was good compared with what we’ve experienced in the region. Mustafa Bey was a wonderful host throughout our stay. We certainly recommend it to anyone wanting a good boutique hotel here.

Mustafa, the owner, keeps an eye on every detail, and the chef is fantastic. Definitely try the grilled calamari, and head to the upstairs balcony for sunset. We loved the place so much that we changed our plans and made the hotel our base.

We came in mid-December, and with so few guests around, the lovely contemporary design and atmosphere felt a little melancholic. I’m sure it would feel much livelier in spring or summer. The two women who welcomed and served us were prompt and polite, and made us feel welcome despite the language gap. Breakfast was good quality Turkish food, simply presented in a beautiful setting. The mattress could have been much better, and the lack of main windows or a balcony would have bothered me on a stay longer than two nights. For that kind of accommodation, I’d expect a better rate.
