The hotel sits right where Ayvalık’s famous beautiful backstreets begin, close to the promenade and town centre. Staying in this historically and culturally rich part of town was a pleasure. Zeynep Hanım Konukevi is in a well-kept old building with an exterior in the local style. Breakfast was included and made the room price feel very reasonable. It was a traditional Turkish spread with a good variety, beautifully presented and served in an organised way. The homemade jams were a highlight. Rooms are comfortable, thoroughly cleaned and decorated in a nostalgic style. Upstairs rooms are a little smaller, which adds to the atmosphere and is manageable, while ground floor rooms are a bit larger. Guests can use fridges, and the top floor rooms have access to a charming balcony overlooking the streets. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. It’s clean, cute and well located, with a great breakfast. I’d stay here without hesitation.

The people working at the hotel were really nice and happy to help. It’s in the old town, so you can walk to all the historical places without needing a car or taxi. Even though it’s in the middle of Gaziantep, it was very calm.

The owners were friendly and helped us with things at the hotel as well as ideas for our time outside it. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere, and the rooms were very clean. We were happy with all the services apart from one thing: our room and bathroom were both very small.
