Rawda Hotel Bakirkoy

The reception staff were friendly, and the location was handy for Bakirköy station and the local cafés. But the single room was extremely small, with nowhere to store clothes, and its window was boarded over. Cleanliness was poor, especially in the room corners and bathroom. The shower worked fine, but water flooded the whole bathroom floor. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I spent 10 days at Hotel rawda in Bakırköy, Istanbul, and felt comfortable and welcome the whole time. It’s a very clean, quiet place with a warm atmosphere. Everyone was kind, professional, respectful, and good at communicating, always ready to help with a smile. The manager Sevilay is amazing and takes care of the details that make the hotel special. I highly recommend it if you’re after a peaceful, clean, well-managed stay in Istanbul. For me, it’s 1000%!

My stay was very disappointing. The room was hot, stuffy, and dirty, with stained bedsheets and broken parts, and it had no window or air conditioning even though both appeared in the Booking.com photos. When I raised the problems, the staff did nothing to address them. They told me to complain to Booking.com or leave my door open if I was too hot. This doesn’t feel like a 4-star hotel, barely a 2-star one. Please think carefully before booking if you don’t want to end up wasting your money like I did.

I stayed for two nights and had a good time. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the man at reception was welcoming and always smiling. Good hospitality all around. I’d recommend staying here when you visit Istanbul.
