Balmy Beach Resort Kemer

For more pictures and videos: IG @meowytheartist ⊹ ࣪ ˖ The cats here were a highlight for me. They’re gentle and well cared for, and if you love cats, the property feels like paradise. I also injured my leg during the stay, and I’m grateful to the nurse who helped and changed my dressings every day. We don’t speak Turkish, but we managed to understand each other through a translator. We stayed September 10-17, and the resort felt worth every cent. The grounds are green, roomy, quiet, and beautifully designed, with lovely mountain views. There was space between the beach loungers too. Our Standard Room was spacious, housekeeping was good, and even the lower floors have a mountain view. Getting in at 11 a.m. after a long trip was a big help, since we could rest before lunch. The chefs and waiters were wonderful. They remembered us and brought our apple and pineapple juice when they saw us, without being asked. Food overall was tasty and varied, and I still miss some of the dishes. I didn’t enjoy the beef much, as it was prepared similarly each time and just wasn’t to my taste. We missed the crayfish because we assumed on our first day it was served every evening. The à la carte dinner felt high quality, with a fine-dining atmosphere. The snack bar was good, and there were lots of cocktails. There was daily live music and a range of activities. I loved the fly yoga, and the aroma candle-making workshop was creative and romantic. There’s also a pleasant lounge with desserts, books, and board games. A couple of things could be improved around the beach. The ramp should be a proper structure rather than bags and large stones, since walking on the rocks is painful and slippery. Guests should be warned that the stones in the sea can be sharp, especially in strong waves. I got a deep cut that way. As we understand it, this is a regional feature of Kemer, though we didn’t run into it in Greece. A sign about not leaning too long on the underwater handrails could also help, as a certain algae on them can sting and cause strong skin irritation. That seems to be a natural feature of the area rather than a hotel issue, but future guests should know.
