Royal Golf Villas

A story I couldn't put into words before. Some time ago, my husband, our young child, and I stayed at this hotel. My husband was seriously ill and nearing the end of his life. We chose Turkey because it meant a lot to us. It was where we'd first met while travelling, and this trip was meant to be our last journey as a family. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the staff were generally polite. One morning, someone had spilled water on the restaurant floor. It was still wet and hadn't been fully cleaned when my husband walked by, slipped, and fell. Not long after, he suffered internal bleeding. At the time, I wasn't thinking about what had happened or how the staff responded. My only concern was my husband's condition and getting him safely home. The hotel offered a transfer, access to the airport VIP lounge, and a small discount on a future stay. Those gestures helped practically, but didn't reflect how grave the situation was. We paid approximately €12,000-14,000 for one week. At that price, guests can reasonably expect comfort, along with clear attention to safety, accountability, and responsible management when something goes wrong. My husband died shortly after we returned home. With time and distance, I've been able to think back on it. In moments like this, what stays with you isn't only the accident, but whether people showed real care and compassion. Sometimes a thoughtful, humane gesture matters more than formal apologies.

The Cabanas were the highlight for us, where the service felt even more exclusive. I recommend booking a sea view room, and those were some of our most wonderful days. For me, Maxx Royal Belek isn't just the best hotel in Turkey, it's the best in all of Europe. The service is outstanding, and it feels like nothing is ever refused. The staff do everything they can to make guests happy. A special thanks to Mehriban and Kristina. They went out of their way to make things possible, and I felt so well looked after, even though I can be demanding and difficult. I've never experienced such personal attention and genuine hospitality anywhere else. Big compliment to the whole team, I'll definitely return!

The resort was fantastic, with very good food, and the bar staff were highly professional. We had a spacious room with a lovely sea view. A special mention to assistant Mehreban, who was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The spa can sometimes get noisy with children, so having a 16+ section would make the experience better.

One area we hope management will address is the kids' club. Our child has never wanted to stay for more than half an hour and always asks to come back. The staff call us to collect him without really trying to engage him, and once we found him sitting alone with no attention. This has happened year after year. Before coming to Maxx, we spent a couple of days at Cullinan, where the kids' club had planned activities all day and children were engaged and excited to stay. That kind of program is missing at Maxx Royal, even though the hotel is a benchmark for service in every other respect. We love Maxx Royal Belek and will keep coming back, but hope the kids' club can reach the same level as the rest of the hotel. Everything else feels wonderful, from the atmosphere and energy to the attention to detail that makes guests feel special. The service is outstanding. It feels like guests are never told no, and requests are handled quickly and with a smile. Our assistants were real professionals, especially Evelina, who was sensitive and attentive, understood guests' moods and wishes, anticipated what they needed, and offered the right solution. Daria at reception made us feel welcome from the first minutes. She always greeted us with a smile, checked that everything was all right, and helped with even small requests. Her kindness, politeness, and attention to detail made interactions easy and pleasant. At the Twnty4 restaurant, Larisa deserves recognition. She's an excellent waitress and in practice also acts as the restaurant's personnel manager. Thanks to her professionalism, the whole team worked smoothly, quickly, and efficiently, providing impeccable service.
