TUI Magic Life Belek - All Inclusive

We stayed with our family for seven nights in June. The fly problem, especially in the evenings, was severe enough that I'm not considering this resort again. Our three-year-old had red bite sores on her face and arms, with large marks still visible throughout the holiday. I saw similar sores on other children. We tried natural repellents, but they didn't work well against this small type of fly, which I attached photos of. I first told Mr. Emir in Guest Relations; he said this could happen in a natural environment despite pest control and sent liquid repellent. When the bites continued the next day, my wife spoke to Ms. Ekin, who arranged more repellent and a mosquito net for the baby's bed. Ms. Ekin and housekeeping were keen to find a solution, but although management says pest control is done, I think other measures are needed. Housekeeping also leaves room doors open while cleaning. In this setting, keeping them shut would help keep insects and pests out. There were good parts to our stay. The service and support team were generally attentive, and Ms. Nurcihan from the restaurant team deserves a special thank you. She made things easier for us and our baby. Their care made a real difference, and without it I would have given a lower score. The rooms and facility were generally clean, cafe and bar service met our expectations, and the children's play areas and baby-friendly conveniences were very good. The daytime activities were lots of fun. Public restrooms had good ventilation and air conditioning, plus baby changing tables, and there were enough sunbeds and seats even at busy times. We weren't told at check-in about the à la carte restaurant. I only happened to learn on our departure day that stays of seven nights or more include one free meal there. At dinner, popular dishes such as calamari weren't replenished even with an hour left before the buffet closed. I don't know what the usual standard is, but I found that disappointing. One restaurant tea thermos leaked hot water even while locked, spilling a little onto our child's leg. Luckily, we were near the restroom and could deal with it right away; we checked the thermos afterward and confirmed it still leaked. The amphitheater shows also felt below the standard of the facility, including the performances, costumes, and chosen concepts. I wish the activity and daily program boards had been in more visible places, such as by the pool, Wunderbar, or main restaurant.

The beach, pools, and grounds were a huge highlight, and even when the resort was busy its large size kept it from feeling too crowded. Most of the staff were excellent, working hard and staying cheerful. Adem at the pool bar was always happy and made great cocktails. We had our best family holiday here. The only downside was the hotel next door playing very loud music late at night.

I don't understand all the positive reviews. The chicken served today was almost raw. When we showed our waiter, he just smiled, said, “I don't know,” and carried on as usual. The rooms are okay, but the balconies are tiny, just enough for two chairs and no table. Who's giving this place five stars?

A lovely spot for young families with small children. The gardens are full of flowers, the beach is nice, the food is good, and the staff are friendly.
